NEW YEAR HOLIDAY.
Postal Branch: New Year's Day will b« observed as a close holiday. Receivers and posting boxes will be cleared on the evening of 31st mat. Maib usually despatched on Ist January will close at 7.30 p.m. on 31st. On Monday evening, 31st mst., a delivery of town letters (including registered) will be made between 7 and 8 p.m. at the Post Office wicket. Telegraph Office : On New Year's Day the office will open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to midnight. Telephone Exchange ; Continuous attendance .as usual from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. W. H.
