The apartment house boycott formerly placed upon tenants with small children lias been so far broken down that flats with especial comforts for children liave been built m New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia.

A Milwaukee builder, who does not believe m race suicide, goes a step further. He is now building large blocks of highclass apartment houses, a third of which will be devoted to bachelors, a third to "bachelor maids," and the remainder to married couples. The builder announces that on the marriage of every couple who are already tenants m the male and female "wings" he will give them two months' rent free m the third block of flats.

Moreover, he will forego a month's rent for every child born on the premises, two months for twins, and six months for triplets.

"Children's" flats ltove proved a great success m New York. They are constructed with sound-proof floors and Malls, with playrooms m the basement and kindergarten schools on the roof. {Several apartment houses provide a special basement room for perambulators.
