(Per Press Association.) OHRISTCHURCH, last night. The liual round of the New Zealand golf championship was played at the Shirley links between S. H. Gollan, Napier, and W. L. D. Harinan, Chri.stchurch, over a 36-hole course. The weather was dull but calm, and very satis- j factory for good play. At the end of the 18th lwle Gollan was 6 up .and he won the championship at the 29tti hole by Bup and 7 to play. Both played a very long game, but Harman was much weaker than Gollan m his approaching and putting, and lost holes on that account. Thfi first hole was won by Gollan m 5, and j the next two were halved. Gollan won ! the 4th and the sth, and the 6th and 7th were halved. The Bth was won by Gollan ; the 9th was halved ; the 10th was won by Gollau, and the 11th and 12th were halved. . Gollan won the 13th. Tlie 14th was halved ; the 15th was won by Gollan, and the 16th halved. Hannan won his first hole at the 17th, but lost < the 18th. At the 19th the hole was halved m 5, and the 20th halved m 4. Gollan won the 21ist by 5 to 6, and the 22nd by 3 to 4. The 23rd was halved m | 4 ; the 24th lialved m4, and the 25th was : lialved m 7. Gollan won the 26th m 4, ' and the 27th was halved m 5. The 28th was won by Harmon m 3, and the 29th was halved, Gollan thus winning .by 2 _ up and 7 'to play. j
