TO-DAY'S PARLIAMENT.
(From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) j WELLINGTON, this day. The Premier gave notice on behalf of Mr McNab of the introduction of the Land Act Amendment Bill. Mr Gray called attention to a painful incident before the Wool Commission at Christchurch. and asked the Minister for Justice to take steps with a view to preventing a recurrence. Mr McGowan said tlie Government would consider the matter, and could not take action without ascertaining whether the report was correct. An enquiry would be made. The first readings of the Apiaries Bill I (Mr McNab), Slaughtering and Inspection ' Amendment (Mr Hogg), and three other local Bills were taken. Mr Tanner gave notice of the introduction of the Limitation of Totalisator Permits Bill. At 3 o'clock the House went into Committee of Supply to further oonsid'er the Estimates. The Premier explained that he intender to pay the Chairman of Committees only . £500 instead of £600. The other £10tf would be given io the Deputy-Chair-man that it was intended to appoint.
