SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.

The Union S.S. Co.'s s.s. Mokoia loft Napier at 11.50 this morning^ arrives here tliis afternoon, and proceeds to Auckland and Sydney. The steamer will be tendered, by the Tuatea at 7 o'clock for both inward and outward passengers. The Union S.S. Co.'s s.s. Talune left Auckland at 1 p.m. to-day, and is expected here about tlie same hour to-morrow. The steamer proceeds to Southern ports, last boat at 5.

The New Zealand Shipping Co.'s s.s. Whakatane (Captain. Silba) arrived from Auckland at 1 o'clock this morning. After loading a quantity ol wool, skins, and tallow, tine steamer proceeds to Napier this evening.' The Union S.S. Co.'s s.s. Kittawa leaves Westport to-night for Gisborne, with 'a load of ooal for the Westport Coal ■Company. The steamer is expected to arrive here on Tuesday. The Gisborne Sheepfarmers' steamer Karoro goes on the 6hp on Monday for a general overhaul, and in the meantime the 6.6. Nautilus has been put into commission to take on the lightering work. The auxiliary schooner Kaeo, from Auokland, was at Port Awanui yesterday. Tlie vessel has a heavy cargo for coast bays, and is not expected to reach here until Wednesday. The scow Hawke (Captain C. Anderson) arrived from Ngunguru last evening, after a passage of four days, and was berthed at the wharf at 7 o'clock. The boat left Ngunguru on Tuesday night, and experL enced a strong westerly gale in the Bay of Plenty, which raised a rough sea. During the height of the gale the mainsail carried away. Oa reaching East Cape on Thunsday morning the scow was becalmed for eighteen hours. Light variable winds thence to port further detained the boat's arrival. The cargo consists of timber logs for the Alpha Sawmills. The scow Waikonini has completed discharging her cargo of logs, and will sail this evening for Whangarei. The s.s. Ventura left San Francisco at 7 p.m. on the 21st.
