Sir Edward Grey was cheered on announcing that he had just received infor- i mation of the Porte's full acceptance of j the demands. Tlie Sultan assents to the telegram of April, 1892, as a basis of delimitation, and the joint commission fixes the boundary of Rapeh south-easter-lj- to a point three miles from Akabah. The reply gives every reasonable hope of a completely satisfactory settlement of details being arrived at. (Received May 16, 8.55 a.m.) CAIRO, May 15. Tlie garrison at Alexandria paraded to impress and reassure the people. There is general satisfaction at Cairo at the Porte's surrender. M. Constans, the French Ambassador, made representations to the Grand Vizier on his own initiative m support of Britain, and then on behalf of M. Borregois, told Tewfik Pasha to inform the Sultan that he Joined with Sir N. O'Connor m protesting against the occupation of Tabah. Herr Breberstein, the German Minister, folloMed M.
