CHEAPER POLO.
The absurdly high prices which ponies have realised, and which have deterred many soldiers from playing, are a thing of the past. . As much as £500, £600, and £700 has been paid for a pony, but this is not likely to happen again. It is quite possible to breed to type, if not always with certainity as to height, and the untrained pony may be worth anything from £30 to £100.— Live Stock Journal.
