lhe following statement showing the imports and exports of Gisborne during December was laid on the table at the Harbor Board meeting this afternoon:— Imports: 332,882 ft timber, 37± tons 6ugar, 67 sacks potatoes, 1060 sacks grass seed, 9| tons oatmeal, 80 sacks malt, 1798 sacks oats, 908 tons coal, 27 casks 697 bags cement, 456 sacks chaff, 247 sacks bran and pollard, 23 horses and cattle, 144 sheep and rams, 19 bales paper, 8 ton s salt, 142 cases kerosene, 105 sacks wheat, 150£ tons flour, 804 cases fruit, 9 tons lime, 201 packages tea, 140 cases 62 hogsheads 10 barrels 3 kilderkins,! keg beer, 15 cases wine, 321 cases 2 octaves 6 casks 13 quarter-casks spirits, 2720 posts and house blocks, 3022 bales wool (coastal), 1094 tons measurement. Exports : 12,974 carcases mutton, 5499 carcases lamb, 52 tons 12cwt meat sun. dries, 10 • tons manure, 75 cases preserved meat, 6472 bales wool, 96 casks pelto, 250 sacks grass seed, 1239 boxes butter. 63 sacks chaff, 118 sacks maize, 845 hides, 96 casks tallow, 25 casks casings, 615 sheep, 6 bulls and horses, 4831 sheepskins, 8088 ft timber, 297 cases fruit, 160 tons measurement.
A statement showing the trade of the year 1905 was also presented as follows: —
