Mill Yueng, the late Korean Minister m France, is m doubt whether etiquette requires him to commit suicide. When he arrived m New Yoyk to-day the news was gently broken to. him by some of his countrymen that his brother, Prince Mm, had killed himself at Seoul owing to the Emperor having placed his country under Japanese control, Mm Yueng was overcome with grief for a moment, and then asked if the Japanese had not murdered him. He was assured that the Prince's act wa s quite voluntary, and jwae asked if the event would have any effect upon his own fate.
Mm Yueng admitted that, according to ancient practice, he ought likewise to take his own life. He admitted that the custom was obsolete, but declined to say that he had no intention of committing 6uici<ie.
