MATAWHERO STOCK SALES.
There wav v good attendance ut the Matuwliero ealeyards to-day, when the joinl stock, sales wuw> held. Selling operation* commenced at 11 o'clock, Sheep: Over 8300 sl»ecp were yarded. The etdc -wits brisk throughout^ competition being keen, especially for ewes and "young stock. As buyors were plentiful, only one or two pens were passed m under the hummer. Prices were satisfactory, and altogether to-day's .<alo allowed an. improvement on the previous two or three sales. A good lino of 1640 4-tooth wotheis brought- 13a 7d, and a choice lot of 737 owes 13s lOd. There was a fair entry of rams, which cold at from 10s for inferior sorts to -2£ guineas for good Shropshire)!. I'ait lamQs "were m good demand, and a very choice lot were knocked down to Air Beavis for 12s Bd. Following were the prices: — Messrs .
