SUCCESSFULLY COMBATING DISEASE. (Extract from the "Press," Christcliurch.) A NEWSPAPER Representative who recently visited the consulting rooms of Mr F. Webb, specialist and herbalist, of this city, gained Mine idea of tho widespread popularity of his method of successfully combating disease. On the occasion mentioned, Mr Webb's appropriately furnished looms in Colombo street north were tilled with patients, and every minute saw the number increasing. From tho tone of the numerous authenticated testimonials received by Mr Webb from persons in almost eveiy part of the colony, who have been cured by his system of herbal and vegetable treatment, it appears that the cures effected have created a sensation amongst those who have had them brought under their notice. In all over nine thousand cases have been dealt with by his system of treatment throughout New Zealand, and during the eighteen months Mr Webb has been established in this city he has treated close upon fifteen hundred cases. One strong feature of liis system is that itdoes a,way with the necessity for surgical operations in a large number of cases where such operations are usually considered neceamry. He has removed from the human body various growths, which are usually only removed by means of operations. The esteem in wliich Mr Webb is held by his patients in this city was shown on Monday afternoon, when about one hundred patients and expatieuta waited on him and presented him with an illuminated address and a gold medal. The address, which is artistically designed, and is signed by 83 persons who have been benefited by Mr Webb'a system of treatment, refers to Mr Webb's skilful and valuable services performed in this city and district during the past twelve months. Of some of the cases dealt with the signatories deem it no exaggeration to eay that they border on the miraculous ; in some instimces complaints of twenty year*' standing have been cured, and in others he has been successful where medical practitioners have given them up as incurable. — Address, 23 Ghuznee street, Wellington. UNNECESSARY EXPENSE. Acute attacks of colic, diarrhoea or dysentery come on without warning and prompt relief must be obtained. There is no necessity o_ incurring the expense of a physician's service in such cases if Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy is at hand. A dwe of this remedy will relieve the patient before a doctor could arrive. It has never been known to fail, even in the most severe and dangerous cases, and no family should be without it.
