The stewards of the Maslerjton Racing Club have decided to give no credit at tlieir totalisator. For the coming season (to March 31st, 1906) the output of the Fihama Dairy Factory ,has been sold to Messrs Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., at lOgd per lb. Mr John Anderson, of Kereru, an old settler of Hawke's Bay, a well-known and influential figure m agricultural circles, passed away 011 Saturday last. The tunnel to connect Kilbirme with Wellington for tram purposes is to be started immediately, and it is hoped that the two parties of excavators working under Mount Victoriai. range will meet within six months.
