We sold 971 of this clajis, at from 15s 6d- to 16s, for aged ewes with only a moderate percentage of lambs. For better line? we Obtained 17s 7d to 18s _d. Although the price is less tlian might have been obtained a fortnight ago, yet" the number was larger, aud the sitse of tbe mobs prevented more general competition. Fat eAves made from 15s 6d to _%<*, according to weight and condition. Empty ewes lis to lis 6d for poor lines, 13s 6d to 14s for better sorts* hoggets, all good lines maintain their values, and we sold at from 16s to 17s 9dj cull hoggets made 13* 6d, Cattle: Our entry comprised 105. '.audi M-e sold 66 at the following quotations-: Small bucket calves _$s, well-grown cai- "**". *» to 41s 9to 12-month cattle £2 os to £2 13s 6d, covvs and -calves "(u poor line) £3, dairy cows £5 to £7. We sold a few pens of nice fat cattle from the Coast al from £6 16f' to £7 15s. Pigs were briskly competed for, the entry being small.
