The game on tho whole was m favor of the Australians, who apparently found the dry ground and perfect weather conditions to their liking. Tlieir forwards were clean and clever m footwork, and the backs seldom made mistake-, handling the ball very prettily. For the visitors, Wickham kicked a goal from a mark by Oxley, taken near the lialf-vvny line, and McLean scored a try. For Manawatu Mcßae scoied, and Ward converted. Between 5000 and 60CO were present at the match.
