Captain Edwin forecasted to-day : — "Moderate to strong northerly winds; glass fall slowly; tides moderate; sea moderate." East Cape reported: — "S.W. breeze; barometer, 30.15; thermometer, 46; gloomy ; high tides ; moderate sea." Light- easterly winds and calms were general m the colony to-day, and the weather fine. A considerable sea was running at Castlepoint ; smooth to moderate elsewhere.
