I'he following is.au extract from the Waukegan Da fly Gazette, an American paper : —"Under the heading 'Signs of the Times," Frank Butcher, of 204 Butrick street, 'formerly a member of the Christian Catholic Church in Zion,' has issued an attack ou John Alexander Dowie that is said to be the best of this species of literature ever issued from the press. Mr Butcher takes the stand that the famous passage of Deuteronomy, in whioh Mosea foretells the coming of a prophet, refers to the Christ, and not to Dowie. He identities the first apostle with the two. homed beast of Revelations xiii. } 11, and calls Dowie's ■«ho\V' 'Satanic signs and wonders.' Mr But-cher is a South Australian printer who became disaffected. Dowie lias referred to him in numerous sermons,"
