East Cape reports this morning a light N.W. wind 1 , barometer 30.42, thermoinetw er 72, blue cloudly sky, smooth sea, Variable wJndte prevailed! tlus morning, being E. at Auckland, S.W. at Napier and New Plymouth, N.W. at Wellington and Dunedin. The weather generally was fine, but cloudy at Queenstown, Balclutha and Invercargill. Moderate seas were reported at Auckland 1 , Castlepoint, ,' New Plymouth, Cape Campbell; considerable at Hokitika.
