LAWN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS.
(Per Preas Association.) DUNEDIN, last night. Contrary to expectations, the lawn tennis tournament was not quite completed, two of the handicap events being unfinished. The weather was again excellent, and) the ground m good order. The .management has been excellent throughout. Some interesting games were witnessed,' out m most of the championships the results were foregone conclusions. ■In the ladies 'championship singles final Miss Nunnelley (Hawke's Bay) beat Miss F. Campbell (Dunedlin), 6—o, 6—3. Ladies' championship doubles, final : Misses ' Nicholson and 1 Jamieson (Christchurch) beat Misses Harman and Nunnelley (Canterbury and Hawke's Bay respectively), 6 — 2, 6— j4. Men's championship doubles : semi-finals, Brown Bros, beat Harraway and Wai-di. 6 — 4, {> — 4, 6 — 3; final; H. A. Parker (Wellington) and R. Lycett (Victoria) beat R. J. Brown and S. N. Brown (Dunedin), 6—4, 6—2, 6—2. Combined championship doubles: second' round, Goss and/ Miss Jamieson beat A. ( E. Harraway and Miss J. Berkeley, Z—6, 6—2, 6—3 ; semi-final, Lycett and Miss Powdrelt beat Dr. Marshall and! Miss Harman, 6 — l. 6— -3; Parker and Miss Nunnelley "beat Goss and Miss Jamieson, 6—l, 6-4 ; final. H. A. Parker (Wellington) and Miss Nunnelley (Hawke's Bay) beat R. Lycett (Victoria) and Miss Pow<3reU (Tfemnaki), 6—3. 3—6, 7—5. The first gradle men's handicap and' comhiued handicap doubles are not completed.
