The Coast coach affords passengers an opportunity of visiting the Te Puia Hot Springs, which are situated 800 ft above the sea level, the air at that elevation being pleasant, bracing, and invigorating. The waters of these Springs are suitable for the treatment of gout, rheumatism, and some forms of skin disease. The Wairoa via Tinixoto coach passes the Te Reinga Falls, which have largely been visited by .tourists on account of their natural beauties, whilst, the Morere coach passes through some of the finest New Zealand bush, and the Nuhaka Hot Springs axe on the line of route. At Wairoa connection can be made with coach for one of New Zealand's healthiest pleasure resorts, Lake Waikaremoana, the scenery of which beggars all description. The beauties of the Lake, which must be seen to be appreciated, are easily .accessible, the Government having placed an oil launch on the Lake for the convenience of tourista.
