' (Per Press Association.) DARGAVILLE, this day. The auxiliary schooner Huia which grounded at the mouth of Port Albert last week, has been towed! to Aratapu. Previous to pumping there was four feet of water m the hold. A large quantity of cargo was damaged. The null is badly strained. WAHtOA, this day. A heavy shock of earthquake was felt : at Mohaka Lite on Thursday night, followed iuimedia,tely by an uprising of the sea. It was not felt here. WELLINGTON, this day. I Tlie Chief Justice to-day gave judgment m tlie Wairara.pa case Cplins v. "Wolters. The Wairarapa South County Council Jjad passed a, by-law prohibiting heavy traffic on any roads specified during certain munt'lis of the year. The roads were specified later by a resolution of the Council. His Honor held that such mads must be included m the by-law after going tlirough* the usual formulas, and could not be included merely by a resolution. Tlie conyiction waa therefore quashed.
