At Auckland it was calm this morning, the sky was blue, and sea moderate. East Cape again reported a moderate S. gale, blue sky and rough sea. At Napier there was a S.S.W .breeze, cloudy sky, drizzling rain at Castlepoint, and heavy sea at Napier; Wanganui. light N.E., blue sky, smooth sea; Wellington, S. breeze, cloudy sky; heavy sea. Cape Campbell; Westport, light S.E., blue sky, smooth sea; Christchurch, light S.W. wind, blue sky, .heavy seas at Timaru and Oamaru ; Dunedin, light N.E., blue sky. heavy sea Port Chalmers; Invercargill, light W. wind, overcast;' smooth sea at Bluff.- Frosts were experienced at Taupo, Bealey, Christchurch and Clyde.
