ALLEGED BREACH OF CONTRACT. In the case of Hofen and Heaney v. E. P Joyce, Mr Finn for plaintiffs stated that ,his client, had agreed to take His Honor's suggestion and accept payment for work done by plaintiffs, each party to pay their own costs. Mr Rees asked that the verdict be entered up on these conditions, m order to prevent other people of the bush-lawyer class taking action m. similar matters. His Honor did not see how he could go further than give judgment for £19 19s, as the parties were agreed on, each party to pay their own costs. Mr Finn stated he had had the greatest trouble m settling the matter owing to the interference of these bush lawyers. If he was troubled with any more interference he would make it worm for them.
