WAIAPU QOUNTY QOUNCIL AWATERE LOAN. NOTICE is hereby given that this Council proposes to construct certain Roads in the Matakaoa and Mangaoporo Survey Districts, and for that purpose to raise a Loan under "The Local Bodies Loan Act, 1901." The Roads proposed to be constructed arc: — No. I—A1 — A dray road between Te Araroti and Tauri. No. 2 — A dray road between Tauri and Taraponui. No. 3 — A dray road between Tauri and Tangihanga. The sum proposed to be borrowed is £2000, and of this, it is proposed to expend £400 on the Araroa-Xauri Road ; £800 on the Tauri-Taraponui |Road ; and £800 on the Tauri-Tangihanga Road. The yearly rate of interest shall be four pei* centum, and the period during which the interest is payable thirty-two years. As security for the annual charges upon this Loan, it is proposed to pledge the Land Revenue which the Council is entitled to receive from the following lands within the Special District, viz. : — Sec. 4, Block 111., Mangaoporo Survey District. Sec. 5, Block IH., Mangaoporo Survey District. Sec. 5, Block IV., Mangaoporo Survey District. * Small Grazing Run No. 70, Mangaoporo Survey District. Small Grazing Run No. 72, Manga- ••■'• opofo Survey District. Sec. 2, Block XIV., Matakaoa Survey District. - Sec. 1, Block XV., Matakaoa Survey District. Sec. 2, Block XV., Matakaoa Survey District. It is also proposed to pledge as security for the annual charges upon this Loan a Special Rate of One Penny in the Pound upon all the rateable property within the Awatere Special District, comprising the lands defined in the Schedule hereto. It is proposed to collect only as much of the Special Rate as may be necessary to meet the annual charges after the Land Revenue shall have been used towards defraying such charges. AWATERE SPECIAL DISTRICT. DESCRIPTION OF BOUNDARY. Commencing at the north-west corner of S.G. Run 72, and proceeding northeasterly; bounded on the north and, north-west generally by the Kopuapounamu River, the Tapatu Block, the Waihirere Stream, the Karakatuwhero River, S.G. Run 71, Tututohora No. 2a2, Whetumatarau Block, Crown lands, the Waiwhakaata Stream, and again by the Whetumatarau Block, the Mangaowira Stream to the Awatere River; thence proceeding south - westerly, bounded on the south-east, east, south and south-west by the Awatere and Taurangakautuku Rivers, Kaipo Stream, Marangairoa No. 2 Block, Section :2, Block IV., Mangaoporo Survey District, the Te Puni Stream, Maraehara River, Haupouri Stream, the Wliarekirauponga No. 4 and 3b Blocks the Otuturangi Stream, and again by the Maraehara River, the Poroporo Block, the Mangaoporo River, the Oruatamaru Stream, the Wairongomai Block, the Ahomatariki No. 2b Block, Section 2, Block 2, Mangaoporo Survey District, and again by the Wairongomai Block; and thence proceeding northerly, bounded on the west by the Ahomatariki No. 3b Block and Section 1, Block 1, Mangaoporo Survey District, to the commencing point.
