WEATHER REPORT.
Captain Edwin wired at 12.44 to-day: —"Gale after 16 hours from now from between north-east and north and west; glass fall; low tides; indications rain." East Cape reported to-day: —"W. light breeze; barometer, 85; thermometer, 62; smooth sea." Wairoa advised to-day :—"N.W. light wind; good bar; beach workable." Light variable winds were experienced in the colony to-day, and the weather was generally overcast. Drizzling rain was reported south of Dunedin. and at Farewell Spit, Westport and Timaru. A heavy sea was running at Cape Egmont, rough at Bluff, smooth to moderate elsewhere.
