(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, tliis day. The Racing Conference continued today. Mr Russedl (Hawke's Bay) moved that a. levy of £1 for each day's racing be made on a,ll' registered clubs towards the cost of administration, of Metropolitan business. This was negatived. Mr Ri?ed (Otago) moved that only clubs which on one day's racing give £100 m stakes shall be entitled to vote at the election of a representative to the Conference. Tliis was negatived. Mr Herries moved that this Conference! is of opinion that an appeal from the decision of the stewards of the Metropolitan Club is "exclusive of local business" within the meaning of rule 169. Tliis was car-, ried. , OHRISTOHURCH, this day Golden Rose was scratched for the New Zealand Cup at 1.30 p.m.
