SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.
The Union Co.'s s.a. Waikare arrived from Sydney and Auckland at 5 p.m. yesterday, and left for Southern ports during the evening. Passengers — Inward: From Sydney, Mesdames Wickliaui, Atkinson and two children, Miss Neilson; from Auckland^ Mesdames Todd, Bruce, Roberts and child; Miss Todd; Messrs Medland, McNaughton, Moore, Roberts, Mason ,Leighton, Cannon, Gillot, Walker, Richards, ■ Larsfield, Whiteman, Taylor. Outward: Mesdames Weymer, Groom> Hardy, Bradley, Cattle; Misses Bee* Halley, Hall, Poynter, Ingkton (2), Williams, Emmett, Thomas, and Cattle; Messrs Groom, Milner, Griffen, Weymer, Brown, Wilson t Bradley, Seeley, Carroll, West, Miles., Clive, Smith, Brownlow, Aiken, Pirie, Hyams, Scott, and Hollow. Messrs Richardson and Co.'s s.s. Fanny (Captain Nelson) left Napier at 7 o'clock last evening, and arrived here soon after daylight tliis morning. Her cargo consists of the fallowing: — For Dalgety and Co., 8282 ft timber; Clayton Bros., 148 sleepers; W. O. Skeet, 2626 ft timber; Mackrell and Colley, 700 ft mouldings and 6 doors ; Bennett and Sherratt, 100 sacks oats; D. J. Barry, 71 packages bottles; also, 75 packages of sundries lor different consignees. The Fanny leaves for Napier at 8 o'clock to-morrow morning. The s.s. Waikare, wliich left here last night, proceeds as far as Dunedin. She leaves Dunedin Tuesday next', for Lyttelton only; there she tranships to the Talune next day, and the Talune takes her run through to Sydney and back. The Waikare returns from Lyttelton to "Dunedin for a thorough overhaul. Tho s.s. Talune, leaving here on Sunday, proceeds as far as Lyttelton only, and there tranships into the Waikare on Wednesday next, for Dunedin ; and the Waikare again tranships at Dunedin, to the Moeraki, for Melbourne. The s.s. Te Anau takes up the s.s. Talune's running on the Coast, leaving Dunedin on the 24th inst. The schooner. Awanui left for Mercury Bay this morning. Another days work, and it Was anticipated this morning that all the Kaitaratahi bridge timber would be discharged from tlw River Hunter. Unloading th« - heavy piles has been a slow and laborious process, not unmixed with danger. The River Hunter proceeds to Sydnoy, via Thames. Messrs Mackrell and Colley. have been advised of the sailing of the schopuei Gisborne from Whitianga to-day with s full cargo of timber. The schooner Aotea left Auckland foi Gisborne on Monday.
