+ (Per Press Association.) TIMARU, this day. The engine of the Fairlie train is still snowbound at Cricklewood. Two engines left Timaru at 4 o'clock last night, and reached Albury at midnight, a distance of 28 miles. One engine went on to Cricklewood this morning, and a special relief train, with men and tools, was sent from Timaru. Snow is still lying very thickly around Fairlie, Temuka, Geraldine and surrounding districts. Stock are suffering severely. In the Mackenzie Country the fall was not so heavy, and the stock there have not been greatly affected. NAPIER, this day. The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company have cabled a rise of one-eighth m the value of North Island mutton, and a fall of one-tenth of second quality lamb and hindquarter beef.
