Stewards' Handicap: Ostiak 1, St. Olga 2, Rangitata 3. Scratched: Shrapnel Shell and Platypus. Ostiak went off with the lead, and was never headed. Scratched: Counterbine. Nor'-west, who was handy all the way and jumped .splendidly, came awny at the far turn the last time, round and won very easily by twelve lengths, two lengths between second and third. the chairman ruled that the Association had not power to order the committee to inquire into the constitution of the Auckland Trotting Association, the chairman declares it is incorrect.
