(Per Press Association.) HUTT R.C., this day. The weather is tine overhead, but the course is heavy after the recent rain. The attendance is satisfactory. Stewards' Handicap: Ostiak 1, St. Olga 2, Rangitata 3. Scratched: Shrapnel Shell and Platypus. Ostiak went off with the lead, and was never headed. Won very easily by five lengths, a. similar distance between second and third. Time, 1.24 3-5. Divs., £3 12s and £1 13s. Mirainar Hack: Royal Blue 1, Position 2, Lady Field 3. Scratched: Recoil, Hamua, Fireball, Parkshot, Fairwater. Won by a length. Time, 1.42. Divs., £4 19s 6d and £1 0s 6d. Wellington Steeplechase: Nor'-west 1, The Pullack 2, Pipi 3. Scratched: Counterbine. Nor'-west, who was handy all the way and jumped .splendidly, came awny at the far turn the last time, round and won very easily by twelve lengths, two lengths between second and third. All the other starters fell, except The Gryphon, who finished fourth. Time, 7.15 2-5. Divs., Norwest £2 15s, The Pullack £5 9s 6d. ' Parliamentary Handicap: Shrapnel Shell 1, Sfc. Olga 2, Sanfoin 3. Scratched : Exmoor and Roseshoot. . Shrapnel Shell led from start to finish, winning by two lengths, a length and a-lialf ber tween second and third. Time, 1.56 2-5 Divs., £4 11s 6d and £5 0s 6d. the chairman ruled that the Association had not power to order the committee to inquire into the constitution of the Auckland Trotting Association, the chairman declares it is incorrect. The ruling was quite to the contrary. In deference to the wishes of the Auckland delegate, however, a legsil opinion will be taken.
