(Copy). From A. W. Barnes, M.R.C.V.S., Government Veterinarian, Nelson, August 11th, 1902. To Mr F. N. Jones, manager for the Honduras syndicate : I hereby certify that I have this day examined for soundness a dark brown stallion named Honduras, by Berlin—Fanny Allan, and I find him practically sound. I notice a small cut on the off fore leg, which is of long standing, and is.not likely to cause lameness. With this exception, this horse is one of the soundest animals I have ever examined. (Sgd.) A. W. Barnes, M.R.C.V.S., Nelson, August 11th, WO2. This is to certify that I have hafl charge of the trotting stallion Honduras since he was three years old, and all the time he has been quite sound and healthy, never missing a feed, and a better horse with mares it would be impossible to get, scarcely ever a miss, and a very quiet horse with his mares. I have had charge of fifteen stallions, but can safely say that Honduras has been the surest foal-getter of them all, and his stock are always first at our show grounds. (Sgd.) Felix Green, Stud Master, Spring Grove, Nelson, August 11th, 1902. For full particulars, see cards. The above credentials will show that Honduras is a horse of high merit, and breeders wishing to secure valuable stock should not miss this horse. The Bill Allan family are the best all-round horses in America, not alone for speed, but quality as cavalry horses and remounts. Every care will be taken of mares, but no responsibility incurred.
