LATE NEW ZEALAND NEWS.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day.
The sequel to the breach of promise case, Richards v. Birch, was witnessed in the bankruptcy proceedings to-day. The only creditor was Miss Richards, whose claim consisted of the amount of the judgment iv her favor, £100 and costs for breach of promise. Birch, who became bankrupt after the judgment of the Court, was subjected to a severe crossexamiualtion on behalf of Miss Richards.
