SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.

The U.S.S. Co.'s s.s. Te Anau (Oapt:iin Bernech) arrived from Southern ports this morning, and left- for Auckland at 8.45 a.m. Gisborne passengers: —Inward : Mesdames G. Rhodes, Humphries ai;d nine. steerage. Outward -. Mesdanies Oucii niicl Roberts, Messrs Ferris,' Hanson, Fielder and boy, Watt. Messrs Hu.dd.irt, Parker and Co.'s s.s. Elingamite. (Captain W. Wyllie) left Auckland at 3 p.m. yesterday, and passed Tokomaru at 11.30 this morning, and should arrive here at 3 p.m. The steamer proceeds to Southern ports this evening, the last bout at 7 p.m. Messrs Richardson and Ox's s.s. Toroa (Captain McAllister) was. berthed at the western groyne at 7 o'clock this morning, coming up the channel without accident, and drawing 9ft 6in. The following is the cargo list: —l4o tons steam coal, Railway Department; 14 tons nuts, Messrs Kennedy and Evans; 25 tons salt, 6 bales meat covers, 2 drums fluid, Messrs Williams a.nd Kettle ; and 8 bales of tow for J. Whinray. Upon discharge the steamer proceeds to Greymouth, thence to New Plymouth, from whence the regular bi-monthly trip to the Chatham Islands will be made.

The scow Alert (Captain H. Petersen) sailed for Ngunguru at six o'clock this morning. : The schooners Awanui and Gisborne are completing the discharge of their cargoes. The Tarawera was at Napier when the Te Anau left last evening, but was expected to get awfty shortly afterwards. The steamer's hull has. been damaged, .'and there, is some leakage, but the. extent of the injury cannot be known until she docks at Port Chalmers: The following steamers load at Calcutta this season for New Zealand on account of the Union S.S. Co. : Aparima, end of July; Umta, first week in August; Aparima, November; Whangapae, December. UNION STEAMSHIP CO.'S MOVEMENTS. Saturday : .Waihora" arrives from South early, and leaves for Auckland and Sydney." First launch 6 a.m., last 10 a.m. — Omapere arrives from Auckland and Coast ports, and leaves for Napier. First launch on arrival, last 5 p.m. Sunday, July 27: Te Anau arrives from during the afternoon, and leaves for South. First launch on arrival, last 5 p.m.
