In the Assembly in Committee of Supply, Mr Kidson moved a vote of want of confidence in the shape of an amendment that the Government financial proposals - ar.i unsatisfactory. The Premier, in tho course of his reply, 'announced that Government intended to borrow a million for public works. A Government scheme of reduction of salaries has been tabled in the Assembly. It is proposed .to reduce Ministers from £1000 to £850; members from £300 to £250; civil servants, not exceeding ~J95' b^ five Per cent- 5 "ot exceeding &450, by ten per oent.; over that 15 per cent.
