WELLINGTON ADOPTS THE SYSTEM.

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. A poll of ratepayers was -taken to-day cm the proposal to" ifpply the rating on unimproved values to city properties. There, -were 6700 voters on the roll, 2852 of whom voted — 1261 for the proposal, and 591 against. The system will come into operation next March.
