WEATHER REPORT
Captain Edwin reported at 1 o'clock today: "North to west and south-west gales after 16 hours from now; glass fall." Light N.W. winds were prevailing around Auckland this morning, and varied to S.W. on the East Coast to Castlepoint. S.E. prevailed at New Plymouth, and calms at Wellington, Blenheim, and Nelson , E. from Westport to Hokitika, and N.E. from Lyttelton to the Bluff. Cloudy weather was experienced at all towns of the colony, drizzling rain being reported from Lyttelton and passing showers at Invercargill. Manukau bar was reporte/1 clear of break, New Plymouth and Hokitika moderate sea, Thames heavy fog, Napier slight swell, with moderate sea. at Castlepoint, Cape Campbell and the Nuggets moderate sea ; Wairoa reported a good bar, and Blenheim snow on ranges.
