As they rounded the top bend Jabber ran into tuird place, Skobeloff having fallen back last. Palaver and Materoa continued to show the way round the back stretch and into the straight, where Holmes brought me daughter of Rivulet out ,and leaving the field, won by about three lengths hard held from Palaver, Battteaxe a. tag"* behind- third, and then came Jabber and Skobeleff.
