FIRE ON A MAIL STEAMER.
{Electrio Telegwph-Copyright-United Press Association.) (Received Alarch 16, 9,30 a.m.) ' HOBART, Alurch 16. A five occurred m the linen locker of the Orient mail steamer Austral., on the trip from Sydney. It is supposed to have been caused by a spark from the funnel. Nearly the whole of the ship's linen, twelve thousand pieces, was destroyed. The damage amounts to about £500.
