GUERILLA WARFARE CONTINUES.

DeWet retreated m the direction of Lindley or Reitz, where Colonel Pilcher prevented him reaching Bethlehem, i General Knox is closely pursuing him. ] Most of the Western raiders m Cape Colony are between Middleburg and Hanover, while a section has reached Glen- j barry, near Graffreinet, where there is ' a British garrison. I Some fighting has taken place near Middleburg, and the railway has been damaged south of Lufontein. A further shipment of 1400 Boer prisoners has been made for St. Helena. Hie military authorities have taken i over all the supplies at Kimberley. Boers have been seen m the vicinity of Ladysmith. The Rhenostor garrison repulsed an attempt to seize a gun on a neighboring kopje. (Received. January 4, 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 3. A consignment of bullets and dynamite from Capetown, packed m condensed milk tins, has been seized at Fraserburg. Lord Methuen is pursuing the Boer convoys past Vryburg. Private Morgan, of the New South Wales Bushmen, died of wounds. (Received January 4, 8.56 a.m.) Martial law has been proclaimed m Fraserburg, Prince Albert, Worcester, Ceres, and Sutherland districts m Cape Colony. .
