TO-DAY'S CRICKET.
—: —♦ POVERTY BAY v. HAWKE'S BAY. (Special to Herald.) NAPIER, this day. To-day: the Poverty Bay visitors commenced a match against a combined team of the County, Scinde, and United players, and as two days have been "allotted for the game,, there is a better chance oi ascertaining the true form of the Northerners. Tne local team is not by any means representative,' as several prominent players are not available, but is sufficiently'strong to give the Poverty Bay men a good game. The weather is again perfect, and the wicket is very fast. Bees won the toss, and decided tc bat. The score at the luncheon adjournment stood at 127 for four wickets. POVERTY BAY, First Innings.
