There was a large and representative attendance of outside buyers, and competition was particularly keen for every lot offering. The result [cannot help being hailed with the utmost satisfaction throughout the district, and shows an increase in prices of at least lid per lb all round as compared with local values this time last year. Our total offerings consisted of 403 bales, 4 pockets, 71 bags of wool ; 2800 skins, 29 hides, and 9 packages tallow. Our next sale will be held about 2nd February, and we trust that growers will recognise the utility of the sales and the benefit accruing to them, by sending in all their produce to be competed for in the open market.
