Clrand National Hurdles : Clirysalito (Williams) 1, Myrmidon (Howard) 2, Mystery (Burgball) 3. The other starters were: Valdis, Residue, Loch Fad, Ditto, Armourer, Rosella, Rotlarces, and Clive. Betting : 4 to 1 against Valdis, 7 to ] Residue and Chrysalite. At the home turn Myrmidon had command from Chrysalite, nothing else being within a dozen lengths of them. The former was first over the last obstacle, but Chrysalilc had the best of the run home, and mod easily by three lengths. Time, Tuiiii 22Jsec. Mr Mitclielson gave an interesting address on the history of the Club, and advocated the abolition of the piactice of deducting live per cent, from the stakes, declaring it barbarous. He also advocated the colors
of riders being submitted to a Committee rlo prevent similarity. Mr Mitclielson withdrew his nomination from the Committee. The six retiring members were re-elected.
