A son of Sir John Henry Bergne, head of the commercial department and Examiner of Treaties at the British Foreign, office, whilst ascending Schreckhom, a summit of the Swiss Alps, accompanied by a number of guides, fell 150 feet. All were severely injured, aud - one guide succumbed. ' . Doctor HerU, of Paris, whilst climbing ' Zermott, fell, and was killed.

A Zurich tourist and two guides were killed by an avalanche whilst touriug iv Switzerland.
