Shanghai, Sept, 23.
An anti-dynastic insurrection in China has extended to the interior of the province of Hanan.
Sept. 24.— The Emperor and all the high officials paid homage to the Dowager Empress, who interpreted this as an act of abdication on the part of the Emperor. Pekin is said to be apathetic at the turn of affairs.
The Government describe Kuni? Kuwei, who was expelled from the Taung- li- Yamen, as a degraded criminal. Kung made himself scarce, and a British steamer has searched in vain for traces of the fugitive If he had been arrested he was to be executed on the ground of attempted murder of the Emperor. The British fleet is cruising in the Gulf of Pechili.
