The Times referring to the "no balling " of Jones in Adelaide expresses a hope" that since Phillips lms broken the stolid indifference, other umpires will follow his example and prevent untnir bowling. The newspapers commend Phillips's action in "no balling" Jones. The Daily News considers he dcsers'os the thanks of all good cricketers. Had umpires similar courage in Grasslands, the Lancashire bowler's day, the throwing nuisauce would kayo, long since been abolished.
