IN THE VALIDATION COURT GISBOBNB, In the application of Ropata Wahawaha, of Waiapu, Member of the Legislative Council of New Zealand, for the validation of a Conveyance in trust by the owners of Rotokautuku No. 1 Block, situate in the County Wai(\pu ; nnil, ulso, for the validation of a lease dated the 4th day of December, 1891, of tho 6aid land of Marian Elizabeth Jackson, made in pursuance of the said Deed of Trust. A. I, Kopata VVnliawaha, of Waiapu, in the County of Waiapu, Member of the Legislative Council of New Zculand, apply for the validation of a conveyance in tru3t of the Rotokautuku No. 1 Block, containing by admeasurement one thousand six hundred and twenty-two acres (1622 acres), situate in the County of Waiapu. B. I desire to appear before the Validation Court at Gisborne on Monday, the 13th day of July, 1896, at the hour of ten o'clock in the forenoon, or at the first sitting of the Court thereafter. C. The nature of the transactions proposed for validation are — (1) A deed of conveyance in trust, dated the 16th day of April, 1884, made between the whole of the Native owners of the Rotokautuku No. 1 Block of the one part, aud HatiwiraHoukamau, Noha Ropuka, iMokeua Homio, Paratone Ngaa, Kpiuiha J'amatuna, Hone te liauru, Hare Mumu, Te Kuni o Takirau, aud Hopata Wahawaha, of the other part, as trustees. D. The land intended to bo alienated by the said deeds is the Rotokautuku No. l Block aforesaid, containing one thousand six hundred and twenty-two acres (1622), more or less, E. The estate or interest which I seek to obtain through the aid of the Court is an estate in fee simple, subject to the trusts expressed in the said deed of trust, P. The manner in which 1 came to be invested with the title or rights which I now claim to hold, and the date of such title, is as follows : — (1) Deed of conveyance in trust dated the 16th day of April, 1884, aa herebefore set out. I desire the estates and interests of the persons who executed the said deed of conveyance referred to in paragraph "C" hereof, bound by the decree of the Court, aud for that purpose require that copies of this application shall be served on them or their representatives according to the list herewith, I. In the application of William Johu [ Brown, in the County of Cook, con tractor, for the validation of purchases made by the applicant in the Riykaikiteroa block, situate in the county aforesaid. A. I, William Johu Brown, of Karaka aforesaid, contractor, apply under the provisions of the Native Lands (Validation of Titles) Act 1893 for the validation of two contracts for sale in tho Rakaikiteroa block aforesiid, which said block originally contttiuud 243 asrea more or less, B. 1 desire to appear before tho Validation Court on Monday, the 13th day of July, 1896, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, or at the first sitting of tho Court thereafter. C. The nature of. tho transaction proposed for validation is a deed of conveyance dated the 9th day of January 1883, made by Epiha Parau and Wanete Warouri to the applicant in consideration of the sum of five pounds eterlincc (£5) paid to each of the vendors. D. The land which was intended to be alienated by thu said deed was the undivided estates, shares, aud interests of the said vendors in the Rdkaikiteroa blouk aforesaid, which said block was subdivided by the Native Lands Court on the Gth day ot January 1896, and the shares of the said vendors were allocated in that portion ot the said block estimated to contain 17a 3r 19p more or less, then called Rakaikiteroa No. . E. The estate or interest which I seek to obtain in the said land through tho aid of the Court is a freehold. IT. The manner in which I came to bo invested with the title or right 3 which I now claim to hold is through the deed of conveyance aforesaid. G. My addicts for service iv the town of Giaboruc is at the officu ot Messrs Keen aud Day, solicitors. H. I desire the estates and interests of the two vendors who executed tho said deed of conveyance referred to iv paragraph C hereof bound by the decrees ot the Court, and for that purpose require copies of thiß application to be Berved on them or their representatives according to the list herewith.
