STANBURY NOT DROWNED AFTER ALL. London, June 8. Happily the report; that Staubury had been drowned turns out the be untrue. His shell was- capsized but he reached the shore safely. June 9.— lt appears that Slanbury lost a scull while out practising, and in trying to recover it upset his shell. He fell into the river and hia empty boat was found by a passing skiff, which at first led to the belief that he had been drowued. He has resumed training sinco. Sydney, June 10. The reported drowning of Staubury caused a great sensation here and in Melbourne, with a corresponding feeling of relief when the second cable was received.
