Won by three-parts of a length ; lime 3min 13sec ; divs., inside £5 17s, outside £4 Is. Great Northern Steeplechase, of 400 soys, about 3£ miles : Levanter 1, Liberator 2, Mutiny 3. Won by a short nose ; Donald MoKinnon baulked repeatedly at the water jump ; time Smirt 47sec ; divs., inside £13, outside, £17 2s ; a protest against the winner was lodged.
