Miners' Strike at Reefton.
Rbefton, to-tiny. The quartz miners struck on Saturday owisg to a reduction in woges by the Consolidated Company. A meeting held on the same night passed a resolution that all trades unions and labor organisations throughout the colonies be asked for sympathy and influence to maintain the current rate of wages, and that all miners elsewhere should respond to the appeal, and if overtures . are made to them calculated to thwart the present movement they firmly reject such overtures. A branch of the Miners' Union is formed, and is to be registered. immediately.
