| AUSTRALIANS V. GLOUCESTER. COLONIALS SCORE ANOTHER BIG VICTORY. London, June 5. At the close of the day's play the Australiana had lost nine wickets for 378 runs. The scores were : — Darling 37, Donnan 87, Graham 3, Giffen 25, Gregory 64, Hill 33, Iredale 34, Trott 4, Trumble 38, Kelly (not out) 23, sundries 32, total for nine wickets 378. June 6.— Giffen lost his wicket through playing a ball on Gregory. Donnan made an excellent stand, and for the fourth wicket put on 108 in an hour and a half. The [ diminutive Sydneyite was the first to go, and was soon followed by Donnan. The latter played a very cautious inniugs, and his score included 6 fours. Hill, too, played steadily, but the others hit out freely. Trumble and Kelly put on 53 between them, the wicket-keeper having somewhat of a lucky innings, being twice missed. The bowling of the borne team was not difficult, and their fielding was poor. The cricket match was resumed to-day (Saturday) in fine weather. The wicket was good, and there was a moderate attendance. Kelly, the not-out man of the provious day, resumed the battiug, the innings closing for 382. VV. G. Grace took three wickets for 50, E. M. Grace two for 45, Muroh two for 52.

The principal scores in Gloucestershire's second innings are : — Dr Grace 60, W. Rathall 11, Luard 17, Sewell 37, Townsend (not out) 24, Board 12, total 181. ,

Grace played a brilliant inniDgs, which included six strokes for four each. Sewell's was a fine display. He went in the fourth wicket and was the last man out. The last six wickets of the home team fell in forty minutes, an effect which was mainly attributable to Trumble, who was almost unplayable, and he registered a fine average of six wickets tor 81. Giffon took three for 57. The Australians won by an innings and 91 runs.

Jdne 7. — The following team will play for an England eleven against the Australainß at Wembly Park to-morrow:— Spofforth (Derbyshire) ; McGahey, Perrin, Kcketfc, Rnssell, and Mead (Essex) ; De Trafford (Leicester) ; Neapean, Phillips, Hayman and Rawlin (Middlesex).

Adelaide, June 8.

The Cricket Association has cabled to Jones asking him to consult the Association before accepting the engagement offered by the Sussex County, England. It is understood the intention is to retain Jones as ground bowler on Adelaide Oval.
