The Premier met with an enthusiastic reception on his arrival here, and was presented with an address of welcome, inj^jfr a hope was expressed that the Premier would not sever his connection with the We3t Coast. In reply, Mr Scddon denied he had any intention of contesting a North Island seat, and said that as long as the West Coast would have him as its representative, he would never desert them.
