Accidents and Fatalities.
Wellington, to-day.— Dennis McCarthy, a labourer, whose body was found on the Kaiwarawara beach this morning, was about 60 years of age. He left his home between 8 and 9 o'clock last night in good health and spirits. It is supposed that he fell over the reclamation wall in the darkness and was drowned. When his body was found this morning there were some cuts on the face, but these were probably caused by contact with the rocks.
DfNEDiN', to-day.— Carl Carson, better known as " Charlie,"' employed by the Union Co. as watchman at Port Chalmers, was found drowned in the harbour this morning. As there is a wound on his forehead, it i^ thought, he missed his footing and fell in, as he was quite sober.
